Background
Sur'Khan is a Kel Dor Sith, born under the thumb of an oppressive and racist regime that elevates the strong and crushes the weak. Being an alien, Sur'Khan had zero prospects in life beyond servitude, with or without chains. That is, until he showed exceptional force sensitivity. Upon discovery of his prowess at manipulating the force, he was taken by the Sith to Korriban where he was enrolled in the Sith academy.
Beyond his powers, Sur'Khan is also extremely intelligent and manipulative. He excelled at finding creative ways to eliminate his competition, or to turn his enemies against each other.

Description
The Kel Dor were a tall, humanoid species that possessed four fingers on each hand. The thick, leathery hide that covered their bodies allowed them to survive exposure to the vacuum of space for a time. The Kel Dor wore masks to filter the air when they were offworld due to oxygen being poisonous to them. They also wore goggles to protect their eye fluids from evaporating.
