Aeau was born of the proud and storied House Zosa, a scion of a bloodline that traced their ancestry to the ancient heroes of old. The texts depict a family history full of glory and conquest; a warrior family that had always believed that true power belonged to those who had the strength to claim it. With this creed was Aeau raised, forged by an unforgiving upbringing.

His father, Duke Kyo Zosa, a carryover of the feudal era who did not believe in democracy, was a Senator within the Assembly. Duke Kyo was a strong proponent of an independent Pantora and fought for expansionism and allying with the slavers and spicers of the neighboring systems. As words continued to fall on deaf ears within the Assembly, his father began secretly securing alliances and trade with the neighboring slavers and spicers, hoping to build a power nexus centered on House Zosa. With hopes that Aeau would one day be powerful patriarch of House Zosa, his father ensured that equal parts political and martial acumen was beaten into his son by tutors and warriors.

At his coming of age, it was readily apparent that Aeau was not fit for the Assembly. Although he possessed the force of will to command the attention and loyalty of those around him, he lacked the patience for the endless debates and arguments of the Assembly Floor. He was prone to resorting to intimidation and threat of violence to seek results...skills much more useful in dealings with slavers and spicers.

After serving in Pantora’s Navy for several years, Aeau returned to civilian life and the petty squabbles of the ruling democracy. Dissatisfied with the impotence of the Assembly and it’s inability to make progress towards a stronger, independent Pantora, Aeau began delving deeper and deeper into his father’s business with the slavers and spicers. It was there, within the power network of the underworld, that Aeau found the true power underlying the social, political and economic systems within the galaxy. He realized that effort squabbling democratically in the Assembly would be wasted and his efforts would be better served climbing the echelon of the criminal underworld. With a clear path to his destiny in mind, Aeau made his way to Alzoc III, the neighboring planet and territory of the infamous Jabba the Hutt.

Revenge

Maintaining his anonymity to protect House Zosa, Aeau took on the moniker of “The Gentleman” and began his humble beginning within the Desilijic kajidic as a handler for the Desilijic stock of prime Twi’lek dancers and escorts. His nickname was well-earned as his reputation for fair treatment and restraint from sampling the merchandise translated into more enthusiastic performances and better service from his ladies.

In time, Aeau separated himself from the chaff and made his way into the higher echelon of the Desilijic operations serving under Jabba’s nephew, Gorga the Hutt. His appointment there was no mere accident as Aeau carefully orchestrated events to put himself closer to the weakest of the Desilijic’s clan leaders and closer to true power. Here, he again earned his nickname “The Gentleman” with his penchant for polite negotiations laced with the violent intent. His was gifted at making the uncooperative, agreeable.

As strong as his will to conquer was, it was not invulnerable to the weaknesses of the heart...and this weakness came in the form of an unearthly Zeltron beauty named Fey. Discovered on a raid of a luxury space yacht in the middle rim, Fey was a dancer of unparalleled grace and perfection, saved only for the entertainment of clan leaders on the Hutt throneworld, Kor Desilijic. Aeau, by fate (or perhaps misfortune), was tasked as her handler, serving as bodyguard and booking agent. The consummate professional, Aeau tried to maintain emotionally distant to the alluring dancer but the Zeltron with her unique empathic powers sensed this and pushed harder as if it were a game. But it was no game and one fateful night, the cold stone encased around Aeau’s heart cracked and The Gentleman gave into Fey’s affections.

For a time, the couple enjoyed a blissful secrecy. Aeau was secure in the fact that Gorga allowed no one to sully the virtue and perfection of Fey. This feeling was short lived, however. A powerful visiting CorpSec executive heard of the renown beauty and requested an evening with Fey. Gorga, intent on securing an exclusive and exorbitantly lucrative agreement with the executive, offered up Fey for the night. Though this was business as usual, Aeau could not quell the uneasiness he felt at the arrangement.

Allowing for a couple of hours for dinner and her infamous exotic dance performance, Aeau made his way to the executive’s suite. Closing upon the suite, fear and rage gripped at his heart as the telltale sounds of struggle and screaming fell upon his ears. Aeau burst through the door to find Fey pinned and the executive attempting to force himself upon her. The CorpSec executive glanced up and dismissively commanded Aeau to leave the room as he returned to his lascivious actions. The executive’s lips were moving but Aeau could hear no words. With a steely sense of purpose devoid of thought, premeditation, or regret, Aeau stepped forward, reaching into his back pocket. With preternatural speed and a ferociousness born of pure hatred, his fist exploded from the pocket in an arc towards the executive’s head. The chandelier lighting glinted off the cold durasteel of the brass knuckle as The Gentleman’s fist met temple. The impact separated eye from socket as the skull caved in and the man’s body fell lifelessly to the floor.

Aeau carefully embraced the weeping Zeltron and as her fear faded, she pulled him in for a vigorous kiss. An angry growl and a string of guttural Huttese profanities filled the room as Gorga and two Nikto stood in the doorway. Enraged by the loss of his deal and the realization that Aeau had violated his possession, Gorga sentenced Aeau to death. Immediately, the two Nikto sprung into action attacking with their claws. Fearing for Aeau’s safety, Fey pleaded with Gorga and tried to interfere with the execution. Gorga, enraged at the insolence, picked her up and threw her crashing through the window to her death off the cliff of the mountainside. Crying out with despair, Aeau fell to his knees as the Nikto secured each of his arms. In retaliation for daring to lay eyes on his possession, Gorga plunged a long fingernail into Aeau’s right eye. Screaming, the pain giving strength to his body, Aeau threw off the Niktos and leapt out the window after his love...

Obligation: A Score to Settle (10)
• The only desire greater than Aeau’s thirst for power is the downfall of the one responsible for his lover’s demise, Gorga the Hutt. The Hutt is still powerful and possibly out of his reach at the moment, but The Gentleman always repays his debts. He is always looking to even the score and if the opportunity arises, Aeau will not hesitate to pursue it.

Personal Duty/Bounty & Wetworks Faction (210):
• Wetworks - PCs with this Duty know that sometimes questionable, if not downright immoral acts must be committed in the name of the greater good. The quiet death of a key single individual, after all, can save many lives or keep important secrets buried for good. They’re willing to do the unthinkable for the cause, and eliminate or assassinate critical personnel to prevent or undo a greater evil.

Aeau is an impressive example of prime Pantoran breeding. Tall and powerfully built but possessing the preternatural grace of a feline predator, Aeau's demeanor exudes confidence and power. Aside from the blue skin adorned with the white and yellow tattoos of House Zosa, Aeau can be recognized by the fierceness of his one remaining yellow topaz-colored eye. In place of his missing eye is an ornate black leather eyepatch that gives the handsome Pantoran face a sinister countenance. Always dressed to impress, Aeau is never seen without his fashionable black leather trenchcoat, tie and spats earning him the moniker "The Gentleman".
