Background

RC-1242 is simply known to many his brothers as "Greaser" for his technical expertise, being an adept mechanic and hacker.

Being first deployed to the drawn out conflict in Felucia under General Secura, he gained a reputation among his unit for being particularly handy when it came to survival situations. He emerged as the only survivor of his squad, and thus was recalled to undergo phycological therapy for a time.

As the Grand Army of the Republic debated which new commando team to assign him to, he was diverted to General Yoda's command on Kashyyyk after a month or so of mental rehabilitation. His experience was critical train field technicians from the Engineering Corps on Kashyyyk, a conflict which he contributed to greatly in helping the inexperienced army grow accustomed to jungle warfare.

Eventually however, he was given a new assignment... A new squad, to be attached to. But he couldn't help but to fear this one might be equally as ill fated.
