Talents

Name Rank Book & Page Description
One With Nature When in the wilderness, the character may make a Simple Survival check (instead of Discipline or Cool) to recover strain at the end of an encounter.
Animal Bond Force talent. Through the Force, the character creates a bond with a single animal with which she is currently interacting. This cannot be done during structured encounters. This animal must have a silhouette equal to or smaller than half the character’s Force rating when the bond is created, rounded down (this means a character with Force rating 1 could only bond with a silhouette 0 animal). The bond persists as long as the character chooses it to, although at the GM’s discretion, the bond may also be broken due to abusive treatment or other extenuating circumstances. As long as the bond persists, the animal remains near the character, and the controlling player dictates the animal’s overall behavior (although, since the animal is only bonded with the character, not dominated, it may still perform certain inconvenient actions such as scratching furniture, consuming rations, and marking territory). Once per round in structured encounters, the character may spend one maneuver to direct her animal in performing one action and one maneuver. The animal must be within hearing and visual range of the character (generally medium range) to do this. Otherwise, the animal does not contribute to the encounter. The specifics of its behavior are up to the player and GM.

Background

Sokera was raised on Savareen by her single father, an old retired CIS soldier. Since the end of the Clone Wars and the death of his wife, Sokera's father wanted nothing to do with the expanding Empire that rose from the Republic. They lived a simple life on the backwater planet, where Sokera was taught to survive away from society to become more independent.

When Sokera was a young child, she missed having friends around her, so she created imaginary friends to keep her company in her isolation. Sometimes she even thought she heard them speaking to her in her head. As she grew up and became less reliant on her imaginary friends, though, the feelings never went away. The Force spoke to her, but Sokera did not know what it was. In an effort to categorize it and make some sense of it, she created a narrative that fit into her observations. To her, the Force must have been the spirits of the planet speaking to her.

Her father eventually died, leaving Sokera alone. He had trained her for this life, though, and she mostly accepted it. She did not want to stay where her father was buried, but knew there had to be somewhere she could be happy on her own. Without looking back, Sokera found her way off-planet to find her own place in the galaxy to live her lifestyle.

Motivation

Faith: Natural World
Sokera believes that the spirits of nature are sacred. She also thinks they are her friends.

Morality

Morality: 10
Conflict: 0
Strength: Empathy
Weakness: Vengeance

Obligation: Fervor (10)
Sokera is adamant about her pursuit of protecting nature. While living creatures are free to compete with each other, Sokera does not take kindly to outsiders upsetting ecological balance.

Description

Sokera prefers a slow and quiet lifestyle. While she's willing to accept being around others, she hates the chaotic intensity of large cities and will do everything she can to avoid staying in them for any length of time. Although she doesn't often get too close to others, she has a nurturing personality. Sokera is gentle and caring for those who seem respectable, but can have a harsh side to her if she deems someone wicked.
