Treyan Vos'ka is part of a small cadre known as the 'Wandering Jedi' or 'Grey Knights' amongst the general population of the Republic. These Jedi are not content to follow the word of the Jedi Order to the letter, to sit at idle leisure in the Temple's halls filling their heads with knowledge or to be dispatched on endless trade disputes by the Council - instead, they travel the galaxy, seeking out evil within the galactic population and stamping it out.
Soon after Treyan was knighted, he seemingly 'left' the Order, disappearing from the sight even of Master Yoda. He soon reappeared though, making himself known to the Council and explaining in a terse holo-recording that he had been travelling the galaxy in search of knowledge, and of a purpose. He distanced himself from their commands, contenting himself instead with a wandering life across the galaxy, bringing justice with blade or word, and using his talented mechanical skills in working passage on tramp freighters from world to world, going where the Force sent him. His use of the Force, always weak, only deteriorated with time, but he was talented in other areas, especially in communing with machines.
Nonetheless, the Clone Wars touched all parts of the galaxy, and when Mace Windu's call went out shortly before the Battle of Geonosis Treyan reported to the Jedi Temple with speed, lending his blade to the ensuing crisis. The Bothan was greatly appreciated in the battle, where although he was a little rusty with his bladework he was able to fight off many droids in the arena. On moving to the main battlefield he led forward a Clone Mechanised Division and elements of the 2nd Airborne, and working alongside a talented young lieutenant named 'Hotshot' he was able to break the deadlock and drive the Republic assault right up to the Geonosian hive-spires themselves.
In the aftermath, he took command of a mechanised unit, where his mechanical skills were most useful. Now he is proving his worth again and again to the people of the Outer Rim territories, while his Clones' tanks are already showing signs of having been modified far beyond regulation allowances...
Protect others - Treyan has always worked to protect the innocents around him, and despite the war he still maintains this
Morality - 50
Emotional Strength - Curiosity
Treyan Vos'ka has always been curious. Intelligent from a young age, he seeks out knowledge wherever it can be found and eagerly soaks it up. As a Padawan he made great use of the Jedi Temple's Archives, but he soon tired of this. He yearned for real knowledge, knowledge that could not be read about but had to be found, and on achieving Knighthood he set out for this and never looked back. Even in his wandering days, he would pay a month's labour for twenty minutes with an ancient scroll, and this has stayed with him now as the war begins - a lower priority perhaps, but certainly not forgotten.
Emotional Weakness - Obsession
Just as Treyan was always curious, so this could at times lead to obession. His master was infuriated by this - he would often entirely fail at certain trials as he had not slept or practiced in three days due to being at the library. More than once in his travels Treyan was ambushed by bandits who lured him in with the promise of arcane knowledge or ancient technology, and though he always fought his way out, he has more than a few scars as a reminder that he should always be on his guard.
Treyan Vos'ka has aged from the naive youth that first set foot from the Temple, Padawan braid still smouldering at his temple. This reflects in his appearance, and there is the weathered look of a galactic traveller to him. Though his curiosity is as strong as ever, there is a tinge of caution to it now that tempers any attempts to go too far.
Compact and muscled, Treyan stands at a mere 5'2" but is nonetheless powerfully built. Broad-shouldered and with thickly-corded muscles on his arms and legs, Treyan is physically powerful for a Bothan, even if he is averagely-proportioned for any other race.
His fur is a darker brown that has often allowed him to slip into the shadows, while his eyes are an equally dark brown. His beard is trimmed to a neat goatee, while his ears are long and firmly pointed.
Treyan bears a green blade with a leather wrapping about the hilt.
