On a routine emissary mission, they were both killed as their ship got caught in an empire raid on a hidden rebel base. Kinjo was entrusted to his alcoholic and gambling addict uncle, whose negligence and debt eventually warranted a bounty. Once the hunter collected his bounty, he gave Kinjo an option: Be dropped at the next empire outpost and fend for himself as a free man, or train under him/her to become a bounty hunter.

Find his parents killers, punish the rebel scum that caused their death. Could potentially find out they are Empire or Rebel to cause a conflict of conscience

Betrayal/Obsession bc the bounty hunter eventually betrayed him or was the reason his parents died

Tall for a human, he doesn't strike people as stealthy....until he disappears from their sight and its too late

The validation he receives from his mentor by fulfilling missions and becoming a bounty hunter causes him to have a very subservient attitude towards him. He is a people pleaser until a bounty is received.
