Background

Captain Archeon "Archie" Querand is a seasoned human smuggler, an ex-Republic hyperspace scout who left the service to become a colonist on the frontier at the age of 20.

After becoming injured in the line of duty, he met Dr. Corinna Stoma during his recovery, a human surgeon assigned to a nearby hospital ship that he fell in love with. After Archeon's two-year enlisted contract expired, he and Corinna wed. Afterward, the couple decided to move to a peaceful, recently discovered planet on the Outer Rim border in the hopes of claiming a plot of land away from the struggles of the galaxy.

Naboo, as it was called, was a beautiful world, but employment was hard to come by. After Corinna gave birth to their daughter, Elaiza, Archeon knew that Naboo simply wouldn't be able to provide for their needs. The hunting settlement of Dee'ja Peak was no place to raise a child, and the couple knew it.

His wife established a modest medical practice in Dee'ja Peak, but her income alone was insufficient to provide for the family of three due to the minuscule size of the settlement.

In order to help provide for his family, Archeon once again took to the stars. He would leave his family alone on Naboo for months at a time as he found work wherever he could as a navigator or as a pilot, often for rather unsavory clients or for smuggling crews.

4 years later, after winning the Rimworld Angel, a Dynamic Class starship in a game of Pazaak, Archeon finally managed to establish himself as a renown smuggler pilot. He was known for his silver tongue and his lightning quick reflexes among the crime bosses of the underworld, a trustworthy man with a knack for adventure. But he never forgot about his wife or daughter back on Naboo, regularly visiting them as often as he could.

However, several years after he won his ship, his wife accidentally contracted the deadly Blue Shadow Virus during an attempt to formulate a vaccine for the deadly plague.

Elaiza was only seven at the time of her mother's death. Archeon tried to travel the stars with his daughter at first, but it quickly became apparent to him that the fringe was no place for a child. He chose to return her to Naboo to live with his wife's family, in the hopes that she would be able to lead a happy, normal life until she was ready to follow in his footsteps.

The smuggler continues to provide for his daughter, scrounging and saving to be able to provide for her eventual education on a core world, as her mother had wished, and to one day be able to retire to the beautiful fields of Naboo permanently. She is the most important aspect of his life, and he would do anything to protect her.

Motivation

Archeon is scrounging and saving to be able to send his daughter to a Coreworld University, and to eventually be able to build an estate in the virgin grasslands of Naboo.

Obligations

--10 Obligation (Family; Archeon will do anything to provide for his daughter's happiness)

Description

Archeon is 36 years of age, and often wears a set of heavy smuggler's clothing along with a stylish, silken cape. His hair is of a sandy blonde hue, and a well-groomed mustache can be seen on his upper lip.

A blaster pistol can be found strapped beneath his smuggler's coat, and he always carries a holoportrait of his family in his coat pocket.

Despite his sarcastic and often gruff demeanor, he can come off as rather charismatic when he wants to be.
