Background
Lellai was an up and coming jatz performer in the upper cantinas of Taris. She had tough competition against the human performers who almost always had preference over a nautolan like her, so she had to make do with smaller gigs when she could land them. She only found her chance when one of the cantina owners, a hutt named Ilba, offered her a deal to smuggle illegal substances in and out of the upper city. She wasn't stupid enough to turn that down, so she took the deal and found her place in the spotlight.
Only one month later, an Imperial checkpoint caught Lellai red-handed with some of the more dangerous drugs of the region. Lellai would face prison time, but she was offered yet another deal to clear herself of the charges. She would have to leave Taris to work as an Imperial plant for an undefined amount of time. She would be able to continue performing, but not for quite the same audience as before.
Of course, she also took that deal.
