Ssra comes from comes from a prominent family of scholars on Mlsst. during and after finishing university Ssra questioned the "why" of the his species stopping of it's constant migrations. Just because this world was stable now does not mean it will always be so. He advocated for return to this way of life for his people, but was laughed at by Society. He has Decided to put his live as he preaches, and left to travel the stars. He left behind his mate(SSissva), as she had obligations as the Universities where they are Tenured. After a brief bit of Planet hopping he found himself on Sullust where he got himself a gig as an Astrogator , and copilot with a Sullustan named Jetz. Soon after that he was using his slicing skills to dr up manifests, and alter data to help make some credits on the side with Jetz.

Ssra has a deep love of knowledge and thinks it is wrong for people to be hoarding it, he loves slices as it allows him to acquire knowledge that would otherwise be hidden. He loves space travel for those same reasons. He is sorrowful that he can not convince his mate to travel with him, but he believes he is doing what he has to do.
