Shura was born and raised in Nar'Shadda. Her parents died in a speeder crash when she was seven. For a year, Shura survived on her own until one day she was kidnapped by potential slavers. By chance, Zay found her. She was in chains and had a long, deep cut that ran from a little above her right eyebrow to just below her cheekbone; a punishment for rebellious behavior. Zay and his gang of friends helped Shura escape that day, and they've been friends ever since. The gang taught her how to protect herself from neighborhood scum. But she would never forget the day she was captured. Shura had learned two hard lessons very young:
1.) The only justice on Nar'Shadda was the justice she created for herself.
2.) The only people who had power were the people with lots of money and lots of blasters.
Years later, Shura is now a hired gun employed by a private corporation. The hours are long and a lower pay than promised with zero respect. Time for new and better opportunities.
Blood Money: Simply put, violence is Shura's business, and that business is never in short supply. Shura knows no other way to make it in the galaxy, and thus treats her bloody work as any other job.
Obsession: Shura wants to get ahead in the world and plans to make a huge amount of money in her field. In Nar'Shadda, money can buy anything. More money equals more influence. More influence equals more respect. If she has to break every crooked skull on the moon, so be it.
