Background
What was your life before joining the Rebellion?
Like many Duros, Nol was a spacer - first mate on his friend Rume's Action-VI Bulk Transport, Terigon. Business was never great, of course - too many tariffs and customs fees, too few contracts - but when returning from a stop at the spaceport cantina on Agamar, he saw stormtroopers impounding the ship and marching Rume off - where they took her, he doesn't know. Terrified, Nol skipped town, returned home and took work as a pilot in Duro's local defense forces.
How and Why did you join the rebellion?
Duro's a common target for Rebel raids - lots of industrialized space traffic, lots of local sympathy for the Rebellion. Over time, the daring and bravery of those desperate pilots flying ramshackle, beat-to-hell snubfighters impressed Nol and some of his fellow pilots - and during a raid, five of them defected - Nol, Zeim Dod, Aldel Stel, Duk Ja, and Rali Ji.
How has the Empire affected your life?
Other than oppressing my race and enslaving the galaxy, you mean? Well, they destroyed my livelihood and imprisoned my best friend, for one. And the news out of Duro keeps getting worse - floating cities turned into slums, a once-proud people ground under heel.
Who are your greatest ally and rival in your squad?
Seeing friends die in combat isn't easy, so making friends is a luxury I've learned to avoid. Only two of the Duro defectors are left - myself and Aldel. He's a hell of a pilot, if maybe he's a little too overzealous for the cause. All the hope and freedom nonsense can get a little outplayed, you know? Like the latest DJ Rekt track - that shit is on Holonet eighteen times a standard hour. But I know he's always got my wing, and when you're facing down a squadron of Squints, that's worth damn more than any minor annoyance.
Rival? Well, I dunno. Not a huge fan of my mechanic. He keeps leaving the bloody starboard stabilizer loose, and no matter what R-4 and I tell him during debriefings, the little Chadra-Fan bugger refuses to tighten it properly. He says it helps make maneuvers in a furball, but I can't stand the damned HUD blaring at me about it the entire time I'm in the cockpit.
Do you have any connections outside of the Rebellion?
Man, I've got connections all over the Outer Rim from my days as a spacer. I guess the most interesting is this human, Karsh. Smuggler type, though he won't admit it. Claims to be an honest businessman, but you don't see many honest businessmen carrying overcompensating heavy blaster pistols and flying souped-up YT-2400s, do ya now? Last I heard, he was trying to make a living on Cloud City, now that the Empire's wrecked the place real good.

Description
28. Royal blue skin, red eyes with flecks of silver throughout, uncommon amongst Duros. Slim, but definitely not muscular. Wears a nondescript flight suit, flask at his hip. Has a pair of Alliance starbird shoulder pauldrons (think Obi-wan's Clone Wars armor), but only wears them on overt missions.
Command style: unceremonious. Get the job done, and get it done quick.
