Jay Kellwen was the only daughter in a family of five. Her four brothers, all older, made sure she knew how to handle herself. When their parents were killed in an work accident while working in the Empire's factories they took it upon themselves to raise her, and did what they could to keep her out of the Empire's employment.

Like most Corellians, Jay learned to fly at an early age. However, despite her interest in entering the (illegal) races her brothers forbid it and made sure that she never did. As such, most her time was spent flying work orders to different parts of the city.

On her 19th birthday, a group of Corellians who stated they were acting in the name of the Rebellion set off a bomb in one of the Empire's factories. In the hunt that ensued afterwards, two of her brothers were found guilty despite them having absolutely nothing to do with it. They were executed.

The event was quickly swept away, and never mentioned again. Since then it has been stated that there has never been a rebellion presence on Corellia. Shortly after, at the end of the work day. Jay's other brothers never came home. To this day, Jay doesn't know what has happened to them.

Making her way off planet she joined the Rebellion and has been doing missions for them since.
