Background

Bennar hails from Coruscant, where he grew up with aspirations to be a solider. He eventually realized that these aspirations came from a need to protect those close to him as well as those who were too weak to protect themselves, leading him to pursue medical skills in addition to skills necessary to destroy his enemies.
He fought in several small wars across various planets, always in defense of those who were oppressed. After the most recent war he participated in, Bennar realized that those he helped put in power became no different than those who he fought to depose. He and his regiment stood up against this, and those his team thought they could trust turned against them during their next mission. His squad was betrayed, most of them killed, only he and his younger brother survived. Tragically, during the confusion of the battle and the escape Edric and he were separated. While Bennar still believes that Edric is alive, he has not seen him in several years.
Jaded after the betrayal, Bennar left active duty and now hires out his skills to the highest bidder. He has come to accept that the galaxy is a dangerous place, and he needs to be ready to do some less than noble actions to survive, a far cry from the Bennar of ten years ago. He is currently employed by a fellow named Zando doing who knows what!
