Background

Peregrine was born on a scum freighter as the daughter of an outer rim pirate, and a refugee from Onderon. In the early days of the Empire, when she was a young child, Imperial forces quickly and ruthlessly raided the flotilla. It wasn't until the smoke cleared, that Imperial forces saw who they had been killing. While the pirates were a legitimate target and concern, they had attacked the pirates in their homes, and among the dead were a large population of civilians; Mostly refugees displaced by the Clone Wars, and were struggling to survive.

The last days of the Clone Wars, and of Order 66, were a reoccurring nightmare for the Imperial Commando Combat Engineer CC-1333, commonly known as "Trip" by his brothers. Discipline had been hard driven into all the clones, and even though he was haunted by things he had done without question during the war, he soldiered on for years after. All men have a breaking point, even those created for war, and the aftermath of the flotilla was Trip's. He found himself facing a room that was supposed to be full of enemy combatants, and instead surveyed the bodies of non-combatants that had locked themselves away in hopes of surviving the raid. The carnage was surreal; Never had intel been so misrepresented in the days of the Grand Army of the Republic. All of the carnage he had hoped to prevent, he found that he himself had instead caused. A sound in the corner caught his attention, and he found a young girl, somewhat maimed by the explosive charges, but alive. Unable to stand any more pointless death, he smuggled the girl on board the Imperial Arquitens-class cruiser.

How he managed to keep the girl secret until they made land fall, was a mix of luck and his brothers' willingness to turn a blind eye. As soldiers, they were unwilling to help Trip directly, but events of the last few years tended to either make the clones weary, or fanatical in order to justify their actions to themselves.

For most of her childhood, Peregrine knew her father as a Farmer, albeit one with a talent with machines, and driving off the occasional predator. Trip admitted to being a soldier, but never liked to talk about his past, or how they came to live on the broken world of Concord dawn. It was a hard thing to reconcile, the years of seeing her father pulling weeds, and the sight of him with a blaster to protect his lands. One side was true and in turmoil, and the other a sort of hollow peace. Peri on the other hand, worked the fields as a duty and an obligation. While she helped her father, her eyes always drifted to the stars. Trip would have been fool-blind not to see this in the young woman he had raised, and when she decided that she was to become a pilot, Trip arranged for her to apprentice under the Protectors; A group that, while Imperial affiliated, were dedicated merely to the duty of protecting their people.

For years, Peri was proud to count herself a member of the Protectors, and enjoyed nothing better than to patrol the skies, or kick back and swap tales with her comrades. But over time, she learned more and more about the state of the galaxy. About how the Empire's grip would strangle smaller worlds, or subjugate them at the end of a blaster. And how her own proud people, were cowed into meek subservience. Peri grew more and more vocal about her objections, until she eventually ended up in a shouting match with her CO, and was practically thrown into the stockade. She couldn't understand why the Protectors bowed their head to a tyrant like the Empire. Or how the ranking members of the Protectors had lived to see the Empire simply crush those who stood up against it. And so, Peregrine parted company with the Protectors, taking her personal affects and finding transport away from Concord Dawn. She didn't know how to find those who directly opposed the Empire, but it wasn't hard to find people who were opposed BY the Empire. And to these people, she sold her services as a gun, and a pilot, for hire. Until one day, her luck ran thin, and she ended up shipped to a prison on Scarif...

Duties

Space Superiority (0) - Peregrine is a pilot first and foremost, however, having only just fallen in with the rebellion, she has yet to earn any cred.

Description

A human girl in her mid 20s, Peregrine maintains a 'natural' look, a little on the rugged side. Her dark blonde hair is kept unusually long for a pilot, and is usually kept in a braid. Although she naturally has hazel eyes, her left eye is a shade of brown. Her left leg and arm are both prosthetic, though it's difficult to tell without inspection.
