Background
Agler was born on Chandrila to two New Mandalorian (those who shunned the violent past of Mandalore) politicians. As his parents were often busy, Agler was in a good portion raised by his friend Sifro Kerek's family. Never much exposed to Mandalorian culture, he felt out of place when his family would take him back to Mandalore to visit extended family once or twice a year.
His parents hoped that raising him on Chandrila would keep him out of the combative career paths that Mandalorians often found themselves drawn to. But Agler was no different, and as soon as he was able, he attended a Chandrilan flight academy to join the planetary defense naval forces.
It was a natural segue into fighting for the Rebellion, which he saw as more exciting and having a greater chance for heroism.
Motivation
Mayhem: He seemed to derive pleasure through destruction, seldom passing up a chance to cause conflict and confusion through his work, occasionally to the detriment of his own well-being.
Duties
Sabotage: Agler realized that every Imperial asset destroyed was one that couldn't later be used against the Rebellion or innocent civilians. The overall strategy of the Rebellion relies on sabotage and raids, and Agler was fully committed to this plan of action. Whether or not to take another pass to hit one last secondary objective or target of opportunity was never a question for him. He aimed to make the Empire as weak as possible.
Description
Agler behind the controls of a ship has always had a hotshot personality: he's a naturally gifted, overly aggressive, and spontaneous. He never minds taking risks in flight. He was always a bit of a loose cannon on missions, and always one to take piloting risks.
When he's not flying, or talking about flying, he's a different person: not risk-averse necessarily, but more calculating, less confident. He was often distrustful of ground missions, and the orders passed down from command.
