Born to a wealthy family on Rodia, Sazzel was encouraged to perform at a high level at his kinds cultural pursuits. While his studies at school were promising, even if he were easily distracted, it was in hunting he found a critical dilemma.
One of the most talented youths in the tribe, he was nearly always the earliest to find his quarry. Though at that final moment he could not kill the beast. Wracked by sickness and fear, for reasons unknown and confusing to him. He persevered in attempts to make his parents proud but could not succeed. Ultimately on the successful tracking of an Ixno Lizard he put his blade to the creatures throat, and was overwhelmed with terror, vomiting violently over himself and the reptile. It fled, leaving Sazzel in a quivering mess on the forest floor. This experience, and his emotional turmoil from it, led him to reliance on the Marcan spice.
Ultimately his time on Rodia came to an end after yet another failed hunt. This time a rival named Artooga beat him to the prey, a Redback Treeble. Waiting for Sazzel to arrive, to gloat in his glory, again Sazzel was overcome with panic. Begging the other to release the plump bird, Artooga mocked him and raised his blade. Without really thinking Sazzel shot Artooga in the leg.
Now finally disgraced beyond recovery Sazzel left Rodia. He tries to earn a living by hunting beasts to film and sell to core world scientific universities and media companies. All too often though he is retained as a scout and guide by free traders of the outer rim.

Wanderlust/Novelty.

Addiction (10): Sazzel has picked up an addiction to Marcan herb, in an attempt to cope with the emotional turmoil of a youth spent being forced to hunt creatures, then experience their terror.
Betrayal (10): During a Redback Treeble hunt Sazzel shot his rival Artooga in the leg before he could kill the Treeble. Artooga assumed this was so that Sazzel would not concede defeat during the hunt, and has sworn revenge. This pushed Sazzel to leave Rodia and find his way outside of Rodian culture.

A young wiry Rodian standing just under six feet tall. Sazzel has weathered green skin, already showing wrinkles around his eyes, though this may be partly from his lifestyle choices. He dresses in comfortable travel clothing, with many pockets, as if to deceive would be thieves with too many choices.
Sazzel can often be found planning future filming opportunities, or simply daydreaming, while smoking Marcan herbs. He owns a small dark wood pipe, with a snake carved into the bowl. This and the Datapad are his most prized possessions.
