Background
Asami was born on the moon Jedha, in the Holy City of NiJedha. Before the planet’s occupation by the Empire, she was a young temple of the Temple of Kyber. Her father was a servant of the Whills. From him, she received lessons on Jedi history and the nature of the force. Tales of the worlds beyond Jedha and the
When the Empire took NiJedha and occupied the temples, expelling the members of the Church of the Force, her father was killed when he and other members met the Empire’s forces with resistance. In the short months that followed, she became despondent and estranged from her increasingly detached mother and what remained of the Temple.
She began to hate Jedha and the Empire occupation with every fiber of her being, and set her sights on getting off-planet and did so, working as detail for smugglers. Within the core worlds, she eventually came across a member of the Rebellion and decided to enlist.
She has been a cargo pilot with desires of one day becoming a fighter pilot, with eyes on the newer X-Wings. Recent reports of the destruction of Jedha have struck her emotionally. Memories of her family, her homeland, and the Force came rushing behind her. She now has become determined to support the Rebellion as a strike specialist and pilot. She wants to prove herself worthy to fly an X-Wing alongside the Rebellion's best.
Motivation
The Jedi: The PC believes the Jedi were the greatest part of what was good in the galaxy and that their elimination destroyed the moral and ethical fabric of civilization. She is determined to help restore them to their rightful place. Alternatively, she simply
believes in the philosophy and teachings of the Jedi and knows that fighting the Empire is what they would do.
Redemption: The Player Character seeks to atone for past sins or mistakes by serving in the Alliance. He may have served in the Empire: he may have been a criminal, bounty hunter, or followed some other pursuit that caused him to take actions he now regrets. Helping the Rebellion may be a way to regain her self-worth.
Duties
Personnel (20): More than machines, credits, or information, the people of the Alliance are the most important and vital assets there are, and the Player Character knows this. She is devoted to seeing to their safety, well-being, and capacity for success. No one should ever be left behind: the most successful missions might not achieve every goal, but they are successful nonetheless when no one dies.
Description
Other Notes
She was trained as a child in melee by some of her father's friends. This training of discipline and coordination made her a quick learner as a pilot.
The concept of the Force is a strong presence in her life, although she has questioned her faith at many times.
