Defensive Stance 2 AoR p146 Once per round on the character's turn, the character may perform a Defensive Stance maneuver to defend against incoming melee attacks. He then suffers a number of strain no greater than his ranks in Defensive Stance. Until the start of the character's next turn, upgrade the difficulty of all melee combat checks targeting the character a number of times equal to the strain suffered by the character in this way.
Dodge 4 AoR p146 When targeted by a combat check (ranged or melee) the character may choose to immediately perform a Dodge incidental to suffer a number of strain, then upgrade the difficulty of the combat check by that number. The number of strain suffered cannot exceed his ranks in Dodge.
Extended Reach DoR p112 While armed with a two-handed melee weapon, the character may suffer one strain to make a Melee combat check with that weapon targeting an enemy at up to short range (rather than engaged range). The difficulty of the check remains Average (dd).

Background

Adopted at a young age by a human couple, Basethir had the prospect of a great life. However, when finding out the couple were expecting their own child, he decided he was just in the way and decided to make it on his own. He spent the latter years of his childhood and early teens on the streets of Lentic on Gizer. He had to beg, borrow or steal just to get by in a humanocentric Imperial Regime. The orphanage from his earliest memories, formerly a temple dedicated to worshipers of a 'Force' was the closest thing he could consider a home. He would sneak in at night to scrounge a meal and a bed when possible, hiding in the attic when not. The ancient wall scribbling and scraps of parchments, his education. He found it hard to embrace the ancient teachings of the light side of the Force, knowing sometimes one needed to embrace their darkness, he took up the pseudonym, "Gray".

With the recent growing rebellion on Gizer and the work done by SFL, he dedicated himself to a this new cause. He eventually found his way coming into contact with the Gizer 1st Armoured division but his skill set lay elsewhere. Thus, he decided to transfer to Sector Force Lantillies SpecOps division.
