Background
A padawan in the old Order, Norin managed to survived Order 66 and escape into hiding. Always a lover of music, Norin decided to try and make a living as a musician. He has been in several bands and even had a few successful solo albums. Problems with substance abuse have derailed his career and he has been out of the limelight for several years now.
1) How did you discover your force sensitivity?
Before the old Jedi Order found me and took me for training, I used to play with my blocks in my families apartment on Pantora. I remember how peaceful the simple act of organizing them used to make me feel. I wish I could get that back, but don’t we all?
2) Describe a moment where you fell prey to your moral weakness or experienced a tragedy/horror that still haunts you.
I guess I could say the moment I felt everyone I knew and cared about being killed through the Force, but you know what? That’s not what keeps me up at night. After that I still had a chance. A chance to do something. A chance matter. A chance to be a Jedi. Maybe I still can.
3) How did you come to join the NJO?
Well one day I woke up in the recording studio trying to strangle one of my bandmates with everyone trying to pull me off of him. I’d had some kinda force hallucination he was a clone trooper or something and lost it. I guess you can say I kinda hit rock bottom in that moment and decided it was time to finish something I started a long time ago.
4) Name one NPC your character has a strong connection with. This could be a family member, a friend, a work contact, or a bitter rival.
My agent Melanah Siv. She’s known about my past for a while now and has helped keep it a secret. She’s been pushing me to do this new Jedi thing forever. Thinks it will help restart my career. Or at least help get me sober.
5) Describe a pivotal moment in your life where you demonstrated your moral strength despite adversity.
I survived for 20 years with the threat of death or even worse hanging over my head. Not only did I survive but I thrived. I rose to the top. Right under the eyes of the Empire. Whatever I left behind, whatever I ran from, whatever my faults, I stayed alive and maybe that was enough.
