Ror spent his early adult life as an academic, immersing himself in the study of ancient cultures, strange alien species, and all manner of other fascinating topics. The more he immersed himself in the ivory tower of academia, however, the more he found himself longing to get out and make some discoveries of his own, rather than reading about the successes of others. Coupled with a growing resentment for the Empire's information control policies, which seem to redact new information every other week, it was enough to push Ror to venture out into open space, seeking to make some discoveries of his own.

Ror's motivation in life is simply to see everything the galaxy has to offer. The desire to leave his mark on the academic world is second to his simple desire to experience as much of the galaxy as he can for himself, and document his findings to that others might learn from his discoveries.

Obsession (15) - Ror has the kind of wanderlust and need to investigate new things that can easily get a person killed. Be it uncharted territory full of dangerous beasts, or ancient artefacts confiscated by Empire forces, he can't resist the need to discover everything the galaxy has to offer, regardless of risk to self.

The nature of his profession leads to Ror being quite fit as far as Duros go, his spindly frame bulked out by lean muscle. His clothing is utilitarian, all hard wearing, environmentally resistant fabrics covered in pouches, pockets and all manner of tools.
