Background
Grew up poor in the streets of Coruscant, Raze would make credits by taking any bets available in order to keep his family fed. Eventually, he showed an interest in speeders and racing. He convinced the Rodian gang boss Rosmer to supply him a speeder in order to race for half of his winnings.
Raze became more and more cocky, eventually betting on himself to win races on the side, without Rosmer's knowledge. One day, after placing a sizable bet on himself, he lost control of the speeder and crashed, causing permanent damage to the lower half of his face which resulted in Raze having to wear a cybernetic jaw prosthetic.
Rosmer covered the cost of the debt, as well as the cybernetic surgery, with the stipulation that Raze would pilot the ship, the Coruscani Ogre, during smuggling runs and other illegal activity.
