Background

Medea grew up on Mikkia, surrounded by two loving parents and an adorable little sister. Her father was a renowned academic, an historian known for his various discoveries regarding long lost civilizations. Her mother was a xenologist, before abandoning her research to open a restaurant in their neighborhood.

Medea was always a smart kid. She liked to observe before acting, to think before talking. She was always very rational, methodical and organized. It was natural that when she reached the age of 15, she entered the Mikkian Naval academy. She spent several years in training there, dreaming of one day joining the ranks of the Republic Navy.

When the war broke out, her life changed. Even if Mikkia wasn't under the threat of the CIS, the tranformation of the Republic into the Empire changed the situation drastically. Mikkia was and is a JEdi-friendly world, with lots of related traditions and monuments, and as such it quickly sided with the Rebel Alliance when it was formed.

Medea, as a full-fledged Navy officer, quickly joined the ranks of the rebellion. She was assigned to several battlefields, bringing her expertise as a 2nd in command in over half a dozen sectors. She had lost contact with her sister, sent to Nar Shaddaa on the day the war broke out, and her parents had been taken by the Empire.

Upon learning of a Mikkian with purple tentacles in the Lantillian Sector Force, she managed to reach out and reconnect with her sister, Kalla. Sadly, the latter passed away before Medea managed to arrange her transfer, during a multi-pronged operation on Gizer.

Medea decided to transfer anyway. These past few months, where she could regularly exchange with her sister, had been the best in her life for a number of years, and she wanted to help the friends her sister had made along the way. She applied to join SFl's Fleet. Her discussions with Kalla's best friend, Selena, convinced her that she should apply to be Captain Finn Onasi's right hand woman.

Medea joined the Sector Force from another one to avenge the death of her sister Kalla. She's determined to make the Empire pay, and won't back down until the Galaxy is freed from its influence.

Medea is a leader on the ground, always looking to make sure that her comrades don't waste their lives for no reason. She tries to display tactics and manoeuvers that allow for the minimum amount of casualties, while accomplishing SFL's objectives. But in the end, the lives of the operatives are what matter most.

Description

Medea is a quite tall Mikkian woman (173cm, or 5'8''), with a very pale skin tone (a trait shared with several family members) and white tentacles with a yellow lump at the end. She's always been quite proud of them, as they are quite rare on Mikkia, and generally a symbol of beauty.

Medea is seasoned, and is currently 41 years old. She' seen her fair share of battlefields, having served on Mikkia's Naval Fleet before joining the Rebel Alliance quite early in its inception. She's grown into a very rational, observant officer, that dislikes talking for no reason and is always straight to the point.

In her off time, she nevertheless likes to socialize, and enjoys organizing holo-movie showings in conference rooms, for soldiers to unwind and bond. She's an expert on the subject, and keeps herself up-to-date with the latest releases.
