Background
DEK-6-C's current owner, a 'fellow' bounty hunter, took the droid as collateral for a failed mission two months back. Of course, the fact that DEK-6-C is 'still imperial property' and 'somehow manages to record literally every conversation I've had, seriously scrap that imp trash already' are just minor details to him. DEK's master even lets the droid keep that old data-pad around. Not like the droid uses it, anyway.
The Droid is currently working for it's master in a long range, long term order; To earn back the credits it's master now owes to his employer. And only a few restrictions too! 'Don't work with the empire', 'Your not a damn imp anymore', and 'Stop recording my conversations, you bolthead'. That last one hurt a little.
DEK's existing programming, along with quite a bit of his master's own 'programming' and 'mentoring', has proven to be quite useful in it's line of work. The droid is still 'learning', yes, but a string of (mostly) successful Acquisitions has shown how effective it can be.
Motivation
Friendship: "DEK-6-C, like most droids I've met, wants to please whoever they serve. But I've noticed that DEK seeks approval beyond their assigned tasks. Kinda pathetically, if I'm honest. I'd wipe him to see if it solves anything, but the model's so old that I'm afraid of deleting the stuff I 'programmed' in the last couple of weeks."
Obligations
Obligation value: 15
Debt: "Yeah, I'll be honest. I messed up on that job. Put me in a lotta debt to my employer. At least I got DEK from it though. I'm not sure what custom crap that imperial officer threw into that droid, but it made DEK-6-C into quite the effective bounty hunter. Well, at least with live acquisitions anyway. I'll be using the droid to earn enough credits to pay off the collateral while I lay low for a while."
Description
A standard B1-A air battle droid with all of it's factional markings sanded off. In addition to the sanded markings, the droid's wings and integral jetpack is broken beyond belief, with half of it's wings and components outright missing. It tends to wear a heavy dust-cover. Probably custom.
