Background

Zo Korax was born on a ship called the Yaatra, one of the small scout ships used by the Jedi Exploration Corps on their far reaching journeys to map the galaxy. His parents were weak Force-Sensitive students of an Ithorian Jedi scout, who followed the more lenient rules of the ExplorCorps when it came to families.
He grew up learning the force as they did, learning to be stronger, faster and to get glimpses of things before they happened...and then came Order 66. It took time for the clones to make their way out into the Outer Rim, but eventually the praxeum ship that was to take them out into the Unknown Regions away from the new Empire was found and destroyed. They were able to jump away but a few lucky shots damaged the ship quite heavily, killing the Jedi at the helm. Careening out of hyperspace at the edge of the Sidarin system, dead in space, they were towed in by a junker.
Keeping only what they could carry, including a Cortosis shield and the Jedi’s lightsaber, they sold the ship as scrap metal and started a new life as a family of miners. Their tall and strong frames made lifting and carrying easy.
Zo had just entered his teen years, so dived headfirst into the “Work hard, Play hard” mentality of Sidarin. As the years went by he mellowed, though he still enjoyed relaxing in bars or strip clubs of an evening. He was just less likely to wake up in a dumpster covered in vomit and coming down from whatever drug the strippers had convinced him to try. And then came the day of the cave-in.
He was working his usual shift, good naturedly joking around with co-workers, when there was an almighty rumble and quake. He rounded a corner at a dash to be confronted with the sight of his parents, hands outstretched, holding the crumbling ceiling up through sheer willpower. Rocks trembled in the grip of the Force as miners scurried to safety. Their eyes met and his mother gave a sad smile before the weight of the ceiling proved too much for their meagre talents. He managed to recover the Jedi’s lightsaber hilt, broken beyond repair and the crystal shattered, and tucked it away before others could see.
Though he didn’t know it, that was when he first came to the attention of Tenga Ventimix, Twi’lek smuggler baroness, landlord and owner of the alien strip club he frequented known as “The Blue Milk Jugs”. Over the next few months she compiled testimonies and evidence, till finally her suspicions were confirmed when he saved some of her clientele from a falling safe that he had no way of knowing about. She confronted him and he’s been doing odd jobs for her ever since, under threat of revelation to the Empire as a Force user.
Though neither of them know it, Tenga herself wields the Force, relying on her “hunches” and “charm” to get her places she wouldn’t normally. So if she ever does make good on her threat to call the Empire on him, things might get.... interesting. Still, despite her hard exterior, she treats her girls and tenants right. The challengers she has Zo and her men deal with would be much less reasonable.

Zo is most often found working in the mines, or politely encouraging clients of “The Blue Milk Jugs” to leave after they’ve got a bit too handsy with the girls in the evening, for which they are grateful. Despite all he has gone through, he greets newcomers with a friendly smile and a nod. His clothes are hardwearing and tough, as miners clothes need to be, and a cloth wrapped shield is stowed on his back. A hood covers his crest and he often walks stooped to make his 4m tall frame less imposing to smaller races.

Motivation

Cause - The Weak. Zo stands up for those who can’t stand up for themselves.

Obligations

Blackmail 20. A sleazy smuggler lord called Tenga Ventimix discovered Zo had powers after he saved a bunch of partygoers from a falling safe ditched by thieves fleeing pursuit in an airspeeder. Both Tenga and Zo are very much aware what the Empire does to Force users. So when Tenga has a job she needs doing or wants his flashes of insight into the future, she whistles and Zo has to jump to it, at least for now...
