Brothers in the Force

On the dust metal floor sits a padawan playing with a blue holocron. She sets it down before herself, closing her eyes she begins to use the force to open it. This is not her first time with holocrons, but the difficulty of opening it is shown on her face. However the blue cube begins to unravel in a metallic way and a blue hologram of a Zabrak Jedi master is revealed.

"Good day my young padawan, are you ready to learn?" The old Jedi asks. In reply she just nods her head vigorously. "Well, then let us start.
In the days of the old Republic, masters would sometimes take on more than one apprentice."

A master whose name is lost to time trained two brothers. They were twins, Tha'adin and Bra'adin Uual. Tha'adin become proficient with the lightsaber, so much so that he could spar with any of the Masters and hold his own. On the other hand Bra'adin's lightsaber skills were sub par at best. Where he was lacking in his skills with the lightsaber, he excelled through his ability to use the force.

They were twelve at the start of the Mandalorian War. Growing up in this time affected the brothers as they grew. They both wanted to join Revan when he disobeyed the council and went to aid the Republic in the efforts to thwart the invaders. However, their Master got wind of there plan and chastised them for being so foolish. Five years went by and the Mandalorian wars had ended. Revan and Malak disappeared for some time before returning as conquers.

At first, the brothers fought side by side. Then temptation came in the form of knowledge of power that Bra’adin could only dream about. The allure of the power to cheat death called him to the darkside. While his brother had a temptation of his own, Bra’adin’s was a quiet fall. One mission to the moon of Onderon, while flying one of the Drexl he felt the darkness pulling him towards the sith temple.

Once he gained access to the temple, he made his way deep inside. There he came across a Sith holocron. He took it after spending some time fiddling with it and opening it. His brother asked him where he had been, but he lied. Many months had gone by while Bra'adin trained in secret without discovery.

Unfortunately, their master caught Bra'adin with the Sith Holocron and confronted him. A duel commenced.

A conflict amongst the Jedi as a whole arose and a civil war broke out. A large fraction of Jedi turned to the darkside. Tha'adin was tempted with powers that he could attain, seeing visions of himself on a battlefield, lightsaber in hand slaughtering hundreds of enemies. With help from his master, he was able to maintain his balance and not fall to the dark.
Bra'adin's turn was a quiet one. His quest for more knowledge started off as an innocent one, but pride and overconfidence entrapped him.

On the jungle planet of Jakku, the war between the Jedi raged on. There the twins faced each other in the fray. Tha'adin upon seeing his sick brother threw his lightsaber to the side, "I will not fight you brother. I know you. We are more than brothers in the force, we brothers by flesh and blood." Before he could continue Bra'adin thrust his hand out, screaming wildly. A force storm that he had been gathering was unleashed upon Tha'adin. The arcs of light crashed into him, tossing his body violently back twenty meters.

At seeing his brother's unmoving body, something snapped inside himself. A feeling that was more painful than anything he had felt before went through his body. At this point some jedi attempted to kill Bra’adin. Calling his brother’s lightsaber to him, he parried their strikes. The curved hilt felt strange in his hand. The two Jedi came in for another attack. Using the force he hurled some large branches at one to the left and defended himself from the right. Before the left Jedi could recover, Bra’adin threw lightning at him causing him to fall unconscious. He battled the last Jedi. Getting the upper hand he beheaded the human.

Running through the carnage, Bra’adin made his way to a spaceport and stole a ship.

The padawan’s Master called her from the other room, “Sa’rash, we need to be going young one.”
“Yes Master Finn.” She replied. “Master Tha’adin I have to go, but I will return. I want to know what happened to your brother.”
The blue figure bowed, “until next time young one.”
The holocron returned to its cube form and was put back on the pedestal and the young padawan left the archival room in the Jedi temple.

Ambition to gain powers that aren't approved by the Jedi order. Some of the knowledge he is looking for is to extend his life and conquer death.

Pride
He feels that he has not made mistakes, that his choice were the best for him.

Arrogance
He has a lofty view of his abilities to command the force. Seeing others as inferior to him as a dark Jedi would.

A tall figure with an imposing build. He has no tattoos on his face or body. Some of his horn are chipped and broken from sparring and different mission he has been on.
