Background
DEK-6-C doesn't know much about his "past-past". He know he's a B1A, and he might've fought in them. It would explain his broken jet-back, at least.
But, to him, service started when his first master pulled him out of a junk pile and fixed him up to operating duty. He wasn't the first, nor the last- WAH-5-L and QEP-7-P joined him, in assisting their salvager. In education, of all things for a B1 to end up doing- Though DEK was most used in the safety side of things. Walking children home, grabbing things in more dangerous places- All around assisting at his salvager's behest. Minimal memory wipes, which he began to appreciate. Even if he wasn't entirely supposed to.
But, yet... His master passed. DEK doesn't quite have the knowledge to know or understand what ended his master, outside of it being medical in nature. The next of kin- The family- didn't have the documents nor the need for a combat droid. So while WAH and QEP stayed, he underwent Manumission, and was let go from service. Onto his next function- Of which... he had to find out on his own.
Bounty Hunting wasn't his first choice, but the order, the rules- He works well in them. Or he thinks he does, anyway. It has only been a month or two since he got his licence- He's still figuring out this entire free-will thing.
As far as his memory goes, DEK has never left Nar Shaddaa. Too much work to do there to go elsewhere. After, it was fairly easy to earn a living as a bounty hunter on the Smuggler's moon- Discounting the dangers. Working as a bh on Nar Shaddaa comes with its own risks, yet, with some helpful advice from other Manumitted droids, he has been managing enough to get by.
And... He goes to the same Cantina to look for jobs and contacts. It's not the most profitable place, but it is safer than a crimelord's den. Combat Droid parts are valuable...
Sometimes he buys drinks he can't drink so he's not kicked out for loitering. Sometimes he stays longer than necessary. He's not entirely sure why.
Motivation
Expertise: DEK-6-C wishes to excell in his current function- As a bounty hunter. Even if his current parameters may disagree with a few of the methods, being accepted and seen as valuable in his chosen profession has become very, very important. He is still questioning whether function without a master is a worthwhile cause, and looks to his peers and friends for answers.
Obligations

Description
A salvaged B1A, standing at construction height of 1.91 meters, or at 6'3. Weighs quite heavy, though light enough for a cheap jet pack to give him flight.
Chassis: While most of his frame is made from the correct parts, much of it is damaged or has been swapped out with spare parts from other B1A and compatible B1 models. A few markings of insignia have been sanded off, though the location of each are quite obvious on DEK's brightly faded chassis. Could use with a repaint.
Jet-pack: His Back-mounted Jetpack, or, 'Jet-Back', is heavily damaged, with a wing missing on each side- One main, and one secondary. The jets themselves are burned beyond recognition.
Apparel: DEK-6-C does not normally wear any non-protective apparel. Though he has been interested in getting a good 'Dust-cover'.
