Background
1. Eventually on his journey to a NJO contact he had to survive and pursue his goal. There he read the last words from his "father"/adopter: "Search within yourself. Who do you want to be in this world? Where do you want to be not where you came from is important."
2. After his "father" died, he closely escaped an execution by his former "family" and crew. He barely escaped as they wanted to purge him as a warning example.
3. His adopter gave him a data-chip in case something happens to him. On that he found data of an NJO contact. After a time he finally found him and was brought to the temple.
4. Deero, a big brother-like figure, who made his escape possible. Whereabouts unknown.
5. He learned to use weapons, to kill and despite a rough and inadequate circumstances and sorroundings to grow up, he always felt a strong sense of justice. In his search for the NJO contact, he could always have chosen an easier dirtier way (stealing, killing, etc.) but thoroughly did not. He chose the just way and not the way he considered was the one his enemies, who wanted to kill him, would have chosen.

Description
In the turmoils of the galactic civilwar Ulitro's family fell victim to a misdirected attack from a Mirialan Mercenary group on a Mirialan outpost. The mishap was covered up as good as possible, but they simply were not able to kill a baby that miraculously survived the incident. His mother was severly injured, while protecting her baby. In the midst of dying she begged to spare the baby and thus he was adopted by a leader of a group of Mercenaries.
His youth was therefore a basic training to potentially become a Mercenary, but wouldn't turn out that way. At some point he picked up hints, that the leader of the group, Simwaro, who raised him as one of his own, was not his father. He always listened to the crew's talks and gossips and they sometimes didn't know he was there. At some point, Sam gave him a little data chip that he should only open if something terrible would happen to him. Over time he became good friends with the the youngest member of the group, Deero, and he became somewhat of a rival for him through time, since he was the nearest to a big brother for him. At one point a mission went bad and Sam, as a consequence, died from the aftermath of his injuries.
Subsequently he opened the data on the chip and saw coordinates and contact data from a representative of the NJO. He didn't know what to do and the only one he considered he could trust anymore was Deero. He showed him the data and consequently Deero understood what he had to do. Within the next hours, while the rest of the Mercenaries discussed the further development of the company, Deero wanted to sent Ulitro with an escape capsule to the next planet, since he urged him to leave. But he really did not want to, he considered this company his family and wouldn't want to believe that they would turn on him eventually. He wouldn't also want to believe that everybody held a huge grudge against him, since he was the kid of the boss. Some considered him as the weak spot in the group and an example of the weakness that Sam couldn't kill him and might eventually get this whole group killed. They wanted to set a warning example by killing him. His worldview was shattered and Deero told him how he actually became part of this group. This is where his search for the New Jedi Order began. Sam's information and data on the chip gave clues and a clear goal for him to find the NJO contact. In the following prusue of the contact, he had to survive on his own, suffer great pain but also had time to think about everything and search for answers within himself, which is what Sam wanted: "Search within yourself. Who do you want to be in this world? Where do you want to be not where you came from is important.". These were the last words written as a note on the data chip. His journey to the contact made him realise and feel that he might be capable of special things.
