Background

Commodore 64 was commissioned for the Bespin mining operation in 333 BBY. His job was to organize defense for the sector due to increased pirate activity. He served for several years in this roll until, due to a lack of regular maintenance, he started to malfunction. His superiors told him he'd be sent to Corellia to be repaired by a droidsmith and then be sent back to resume his duties.
He was sent to Corellia and his repairs went without issue but due to a bureaucratic error, the bill for his repairs was never paid in full and he was never returned to Cloud City.

For three hundred years he was transferred from owner to owner. Sometimes he'd be activated long enough to be given some menial job before one day being switched off and used to pay a debt or sold off after his owner had died or couldn't find the use for a systems defense organizer droid.

After a dozen decades gathering dust in a CDF storage warehouse he was reactivated and informed the Galaxy was at war and all materials that could be spared were being transferred to the ownership of the Republic Military. Commodore 64 is now a part of one of the largest navies the Galaxy has ever seen.

Motivation

Ego: 64 believes there is a certain way to conduct warfare in general and naval warfare in particular. He holds his head high and strives to be a model of grace under pressure.

Duties

Loss Prevention: As a Systems Defense Organizer it was his job to stop pirates and smugglers while making sure they did as little lasting damage as possible. This has carried over into the Clone War as he will not take action where the losses will out weigh the gains.
