When your character makes a Medicine check to heal wounds, the target heals one additional wound per rank of Surgeon.
When making any knowledge skill check, your char- acter can instead use this talent to spend an amount of currency equal to fifty times the difficulty of the check and automatically succeed on the knowledge check with one uncanceled (instead of rolling). At your GM’s discretion, your character may not be able to use Bought Info if the information is particularly sensitive or diffi- cult to find, or buying it doesn’t make narrative sense.
When casting a spell, your character may select a number of additional effect in ( ) up to their ranks in Overchannel. The effect must be limited to single ( ) effects. The character gains 2 threat per ( ) added in this way rather than increase the difficulty of the check. This is in addition to any Threat rolled.Threat added by this talent can be cancelled by rolled advantages.
Once per session, may take a Redundant Systems action; make an Easy ( ) Mechanics check to harvest compo- nents from a functioning device to repair a broken one without breaking the first device.
When your character makes a check to construct new items or modify existing ones, use this talent to add a number of to the check equal to ranks of Inventor. In addition, your character may attempt to reconstruct devices that they have heard described but have not seen and do not have any kinds of plans or schematics for.
When your character gains this talent, decide on a signature spell for them, consisting of a particular magic action and a specific set of one or more effects. When your character casts their signature spell (consisting of the exact combination of action and effects previously chosen), reduce the difficulty of the check by one.
Your character must have purchased the Overchannel talent to benefit from this talent. In addition to the effects of Overchannel, you may also add ( ) effects. The character gains one Despair (including the associat- ed failure) per ( ) effect added in this way rather than increase the difficultly of the check. This is in addition to any rolled.
Biotic Talent: Attack
Biotic Attack: When casting an Attack power, the first special effect added to the power increases the difficulty of the power by one less ◆ than it would normally would. The damage of Biotic Attack powers cast by the asari is also increased by +3. This effect cannot be combined with the bonuses of a biotic amp. However, they may equip a biotic amp, and choose which bonus (either the amp, or Natural Biotic) to benefit from for the rest of the turn.
Melding is a process by which asari can create a state of synchronicity between their nervous system and that of a partner. Melding allows participants to share thoughts, emotions, and experiences. It is commonly a part of asari reproduction, but it need not be. As a maneuver available while melding with a partner, an asari character may spend 2 strain to communicate sensory information to her partner. The experience can be intense, allowing the asari to gain a certain influence over the target, while revealing something in return. During the meld, she gains a bonus ◆ to her next social skill check towards the partner. Her partner gains a bonus ◆ to their next Perception check towards her.
Tech Power: Combat Drone
Average Hacking check. Appears engaged. Remains until end of next turn. One maneuver and one action.
A soft-spoken Asari woman, Shaela T'leza is several years into Matronhood, that time in an Asari's life when they feel compelled to seek out a companion and settle down to a life of child-rearing. Such a life is not for Shaela, however. Driven by an overwhelming desire to further expand her medical and scientific knowledge, she has deliberately sequestered herself from Asari society, the last thirty years spent working on a privately-funded space station in orbit around a moon somewhere bordering Terminus and Citadel space. The station was recently attacked, Shaela taken captive by Cerberus operatives. For what reason, she cannot fathom, but her work involving virology and genetics on the station was of utmost importance. The loss of her research has left her devastated, moreso once she learns what Cerberus is really after.
