She was an excellent student and graduated super young in order to become a doctor. The massive contract of the Republic to build a clone army gave an exceptionally good opportunity to get into an exceptionally well paid job at a young age. She ended up training and teaching clone medics and doctors on Kamino for a long time. She didn't leave Kamino until the battle of Kamino during the Clone Wars. From then on she was everywhere in the galaxy, but mostly saw medical stations, laboratories and hospitals from the inside, not the actual planets themselves.
With the clone army out of service and in clinch with some imperial political figures it unfortunately made it impossible to practice in the inner worlds.
Not turning grim and bitter, but rather seeing the opportunity to piss the imps on the leg, she is trying her late luck in the Alliance.

Without a home or homeworld she has lost all her resources. She is trying to get those back and preserving her identity, maybe even find a new one
