Background

History:
Cassandra Alyrn (Sirm’Cass’Alreen) was born on pantora in 41BBY. Her mother was a pantoran performer named Nandia Alryn. Her father is a well known chiss smuggler named M'veanin (Sirm'vean'inu). He’s a bit of a hoe but liked Nandia enough to stick around and help out with the baby. He wasn't always around but when he was he would tell Cassie about the jobs he did while he was away, much to her mother’s dismay. Cassie always wanted to go with him but due to her mother’s reputation needing to stay intact and M'veanin, in true Chiss fashion, caring about her education, she wasn’t allowed. She was always more attached to her father than mother, not liking the way she would make her act in public to keep up appearances. Cassie was often seen in contacts, making her entirely orange eyes look pantoran. Per her parents request, she remained in school, graduating at 14. She still wanted to go smuggling with her dad but her mother continuously shot down the idea. Her dad on the other hand was a bit more lenient, letting her come on jobs on the condition she stayed on the ship with Sax, their pilot. M’veanin would teach her basic things on those trips: a general knowledge of the underworld, how to shoot a gun, how to fly a ship, etc.

Nandia got sick and died a few months after Cassie got out of school. She was off with her father when it happened. After the dust settled, Cassie picked up everything and moved onto her dad’s ship with his crew. That was the last time she’s been on Pantora since. For the most part, she was backup on missions starting out. She would either plan for quick getaways or be a last resort should jobs turn into a firefight. She wasn’t particularly good at it yet but she’d learn. She barely remembered the details of all the missions she’d been all, all the people she’d help hunt down, or all the people she’d help kill by the time she was 18. The only mission that really stuck with her was a small smuggling job out of, now, separatist space before the war broke out when she was 16. Tension had started to rise and Cassie’s father was hired to smuggle countess Shaden Hiar back to Dac. The job went better than Cassie could have ever imagined. The two became very close over the trip, exchanging comlink frequencies and eventually dating. The two of them dating would lead to her taking more jobs from other Dac natives, one of which the reward was her ship. It’s a prototype Mon Calamari DeepWater-class light freighter. Cassie and her dad modified it to have a brig room instead of an extra living quarters, but other than that it’s on par with the market product. Aside from her ship, her only other prized possession is the battle baton Shaden gifted her for their 3 year anniversary. She was getting a new one anyway and felt it would go unappreciated if anyone else had it or it stayed in storage. Cassie knows it isn’t the best gun out there but she still loves it nonetheless.

Cassie keeps to herself most of the time, working alone or abandoning the group she’s in quickly after getting paid and having a few drinks. Aside from her girlfriend, she only really knows two other people in the galaxy. The first is a bounty hunter named Nikau. The two aren’t close by any means but after having been stuck with him on a handful of jobs, she grew to enjoy his company. The second is Veth. He’s a Jawa who got kicked out of his tribe and snuck onto her ship. He hasn’t left and Cassie’s grown to have a soft spot for him. They’ve been living together for a couple months
