Background

CX-4777 "Deathwish", formerly known as "Knock", is a clone who has undergone a radical tranformation over his recent history. He picked up more habits than his brothers did from the bounty hunters who trained them, specifically on superstitions. In Deathwish's mind, any sort of edge was something that he would take, and the fact that the rituals seemed to actually work most of the time and kept him alive during his first real flight missions spurred him on further. The introduction of Jedi commanders also served to cement his belief: these warriors and mystics were able to perform feats that would defy belief, so suddenly "knocking three times on you cockpit before taking off helps you get back safe" didn't seem so outlandish.

His recent change in outlook, and name, sprung from a culmination of the beliefs that have been forming. During a rough dogfight against separatist forces, Deathwish had taken several hits and was unable to shake the fighter on his tail. The only thing that saved him from certain doom was the timely intervention of a Jedi starfighter. Hailing him on the comms, and finding how shaken the clone was, the general offered him some quick words of comfort. "The force has a plan for everybody, and yours is to survive this conflict." While it was meant to only bolster his morale, Deathwish took the message a lot more seriously than the Jedi intended. After all, those skilled in the force could see the future, right? And Jedi weren't able to lie, anyways, so that meant that he would see the end of the war with the separatists, without a doubt. With a newfound sense of confidence based on his own faith and a misunderstanding, CX-4777 began to take more and more risks on his missions; and while they usually paid off, the other clones in his squadron began to refer to him by what seemed to be his new motivation: a deathwish.

Motivation

Motivation: Adrenaline Junkie

Since he believes that he'll outlive the war, Deathwish relishes pushing the limits of both himself and his machines as far as they can go; after all, there's no risk in redlining if it can't really harm you, right? This leads him to take risks that others might not, like testing experimental gear or attack runs that are a little too daring for anyone else to try.

Duties

Duty: 60

Support: As far as Deathwish is concerned, he's set for the immediate future; with his own safety secure, he doesn't have many worries or concerns. This frees him up to do whatever's need to help the war effort, whether it's escort duty, dangerous sorties, or even field ops outside of the cockpit.

Description

Standard clone physiology. Hair styled into a pompadour, with sideburns. Deathwish tends to be covered in trinkets and other knicknacks, with each one have a specific purpose to either invite good luck or ward off bad luck. He usually paints his armor and flight-suits with stylised red and yellow chevrons, and his ship to match within allowance.
