Tor was born during the days of the Galactic Republic, and was of age to fight during the Clone Wars. A member of the Old Mandalorians, he fought for both sides on different occasions. His parents often took turns raising him, one would leave to take a job and the other would stay home with little Tor. Right before the Clone Wars started, Tor's parents both were hired for a job, and they left Tor in the care of their close friend, Jaresh Specc. Tor's parents never came back from that job though, and Specc took Tor under his wing as his co-pilot for the smuggling operation he ran with his R5 droid. After Specc was presumed dead on a heist gone wrong, Tor struck out on his own a few years later and became a mercenary for hire to either side in the ongoing Clone Wars.
In the final days of the Galactic Republic, he had been recruited by a Jedi Knight and her Padawan to help them and a small Clone Commando strike force take down a Seperatist phrik refining facility. It was this Jedi Knight that helped B`varn secretly discover his potential to harness the Force. Two nights later, after the factory had been destroyed and B`varn had left the team, Order 66 was enacted. He stumbled across the Jedi's former camp and found their charred remains and their equipment. Taking what he could, he discovered later on how to build his own lightsaber from their supplies and remains of theirs.
To protect himself from his fellow Mandalorians and the new Galactic Empire, he decided to keep his affluence with the Force a secret, and hide every aspect of it. He bought a clunky R5 astromech unit, and built a secret compartment for his lightsaber. Striking out on his own, he maintained his mercenary as a pilot for hire for certain groups. More recently he struck up with his current team, and has been their pilot ever since. While the team bought smuggling compartments in addition to some other modifications, there are suspicions that there are some compartments only B`varn knows about.
