All Keylara's parents ever wanted was a quiet life. They both worked as engineers in a quiet spaceport out on the Rim. Keylara showed a natural aptitude for mechanics, and they had hoped she would follow in their footsteps. "Being noticed only gets you in trouble, and a Chandra-Fan never has to get noticed", they taught her from an early age. It was a great disappointment to them that this lesson didn't take.

Growing up, Keylara always dreamed of being a hero, of fighting evil and saving the day, like in the books she read and the shows she watched. She jumped at the chance to join the Rebellion, to leave the quiet backwater she grew up in and fight the empire, dreaming of the epic battles she would win and all the lives she would save.

Glory. Keylara believes in the cause she is fighting for, but what she truly dreams of is medals of honour, cheering crowds, and the stories of her deeds being told across the galaxy

Space superiority. Keylara knows her talents lie as much in mechanics as they do in fighting. She applies both skillsets with single-minded dedication to ensure her ship is deadly and effective, and is always pushing to be at the forefront of every battle and take on the hardest missions
