At first glance, HK unit T4-P5, or 'Taps', appears to be a rather ordinary HK model assassin droid. However, Taps is different from a usual HK droid in that he lacks the usual single-minded focus on combat and killing common to HK models, owing this mainly to an old Zabrak smuggler 'friend' who bought him rusted and beaten from a Tattooine junk merchant, and spent some time tinkering with his droid brain. As a result, Taps maintains much of his old assassination protocal and built-in combat training, but isn't entirely unpleasant and is perfectly capable of resolving conflicts peacefully (often even preferring to do so).

Eventually, however, after a while of finding companionship with his new Zabrak master and assisting him with smuggling missions, the pair were caught on a mission by a small group of Imperials, who offered the Zabrak clemency in exchange for Taps himself. Of course, the deal was accepted, and Taps had to rely on his old HK programming to get himself out of the situation forcefully. He now resides on Ansig station, putting his Smuggling experience to use to help procure items of questionable legality, and hopes to one day hunt down his old Zabrak friend.

Revenge - Taps seeks to find his former companion and exact vengeance.

Obligation: Betrayal - Taps was betrayed by his old companion, and sold to an Imperial engineering regiment in exchange for freedom. He seeks revenge. (Magnitude 10)
