Immersed in Imperial structures from birth thanks to his parents' occupations, Benji always wished to be a pilot when he grew up. That is the reason why he enlisted as a cadet in the Imperial Navy as soon as he came of age. He rose through the ranks, eventually reaching the rank of flight leader.

One day as he and his wingmates were out on patrol, they came across a YT-2400 freighter : the ship of an infamous terrorist cell. It had been damaged in a firefight with a merchant ship, but the captain warned that he had hostages and would kill them if he wasn't let go. Sensor scans revealed a large quantity of proton explosives in the cargo hold - surely meant for a terror attack.

Benji weighed his options and decided a few hostages' lives were worth many more civilians'. He and his flight promptly destroyed the freighter, putting an end to the threat those terrorists posed.

Sadly, one of the hostages was the cousin of Kegan Ruul, an influential politician in the Imperial Senate. Ruul called for Benji's immediate sacking, but his superior officer managed to instead get him transferred to the Terminus fleet - a dead-end assignment that is nonetheless better than dishonorable discharge.

Connection - Family

His parents are government officials on Naboo - his father Ajir a regional administrator and his mother Juna a quartermaster at the Imperial military spaceport while his elder sister Blume is a Commander in the Imperial Navy, captaining a VT-49 Decimator assault ship in the Outer Rim while his younger brother Gilvern is the comms officer of an Imperial Customs Frigate in the Mid Rim.

The Tandors are staunch Imperial loyalists.
