Background

Raised for the most part on Alderaan.
Asukaji's father, Baden, was a xenobiologist working for a small governmental agency. After the fall of the Republic, the Empire tried to remove non-humans from high ranking offices, and fired him. Unable to find a respectable job, Baden became depressed and killed himself. Asukaji and his mother, Damajah, moved from planet to planet, just getting by, until he overheard a strange looking protocol droid talking to itself about a rumor of a force-user settlement in the mid-rim. For the last five years he has been living in this refuge, helping as he can and using his natural skills as a hunter to keep his new family fed.

Motivation

Asukaji sees the Force as a tool to be used. A powerful and dangerous tool, and one that needs to be respected, but a tool nonetheless. He has trouble with the more spiritual aspect of the Force, and his development as a Force user has been slow. But he has a strong desire to understand his abilities, and to test how far he can push them.

Updated: Asukaji has started to see the Force in a new light since Teeg's death. He has spent a lot of time alone meditating in the wild, and has started to see what it truly means that the Force is in all things. He is beginning to see that the Force is a balancing mechanism for the continuation of the universe, and the true evil in the galaxy is those trying to disrupt that balance. This has led him to the conclusion that you can't win a war, it is impossible. The galaxy can never really settle, it must be in flux. The best you can do is try to live within that balance, and try to cancel out the things that disrupt it, whether that means directly or indirectly is heavy on his mind.

Enthusiasm- Asukaji was taught to put all of his energy into a task and to finish what he starts. Perfection isn't possible, but you should strive for it regardless, and take pride in how close you can get.
Recklessness- Asukaji often gets tunnel vision when put to a task. That task is what he is working on, and little else matters until it is accomplished. He also sometimes gets into situations that he is not equipped or prepared to handle.

After losing out on a big payoff due to his conscience, Asukaji has developed a bit of an jealous streak. This streak has been snuffed by recent revelations.
