Background
Selek Kaal was a promising Jedi Knight at least twenty years before the Rise of the Empire. However she recognized the decline of the Jedi. While she stood for the main principles of what it meant to be a Jedi, she was often dismissed as a maverick among her peers and even some of her Masters. Instead of fighting for her pride she decided to leave the Order and settle on her homeworld of Dorin. There she met an archeologist, Bordo, whom she married and concieved a child with, a boy named Dolar.
During Dolar's childhood Selek felt his connection to the Force and in secret she taught him the ways of the Force. She even taught him the Makashi form of Jedi combat using an old wooden cane. However when Dolar's father found out he left them without a word.
Five years after Order 66, an Imperial delegation conquered Dolar and took over. Aided by the feared Inquisitors they tracked down Force Sensitive children for the Emperor to train. One of the crossed paths with Dolar and Selek. Selek was killed, but Dolar escaped only armed with his old cane.
After months of traveling Dolar came across a religious cult known as the Church of the Force, a group who believed in the return of the Jedi. He followed them for a couple of years, before revealing his Force Powers. This gave the church hope that the Jedi weren't exterminated and that a return may be closer than anticipated.
Dolar decided to take matters in his own hands and attempted to find remaining Jedi by himself to reunite them as an order. However this proved to be a daunting task and an even more difficult one to persuade remaining Jedi to support his cause. One Jedi however, recognized potential in Dolar's plan and while he decided not to go with him, he rewarded Dolar's courage with his own lightsaber crystal and instructed him in creating his own lightsaber.
With his lightsaber built Dolar set out on adventures to find Jedi to support his cause. . . .
