Background

Lucus was born on Coruscant to a middle-class family, the memory of which is all but forgotten by now. The boy was sold to a criminal syndicate named RE/SYST at five years old to pay off his father's debt. His small frame allowed him to access various restricted locations and be of use to the syndicate. It was during such an endeavour that his force sensitivity came to the fore. While sneaking inside a local industrial manufacture, a security guard heard him. Terrified of what awaited him should he be found and yet with nowhere to hide, he stood still as the guard turned the corner and passed right by him as if he had never seen him. Lucus was still too young to understand the significance of this extraordinary act, but in years to come this talent would continue to manifest itself at the most opportune time.

On a streak of successful operations within the middle-class sector of Coruscant during his teenage years, Lucus was emboldened and sought out a bigger prize on his own. He infiltrated a senator's personal apartment. He was caught red-handed by the security staff and beaten unconscious on site. He regained his senses while being shipped off-planet to Oovo IV; a prison complex where he would spend the next decade of his life.

His stay on Oovo IV shaped him to be the man he is today: hard, unflinching, ambitious and violent. All things one has to be to survive in such an environment. Yet, the most important thing that happened during his time was meeting Julius Psion. A member of the Bounty Hunter Guild, Julius introduce Lucus to the organized underworld of bounty hunting. Under the guidance of Julius who took him under his wingg during the first two years of his membership following his release from Prison, Lucus made a name for himself under the alias "Naix". To this day, Lucus still maintain contact with his former mentor.

It would be years later that he would finally join the New Jedi Order. While always curious about the strange abilities he had first exhibited in his childhood, Lucus did not manage to acquire much material to teach himself the control he sought. However, when the Battle of Yavin reports hit the holonet and rumours started circling in the Outer Rim about the resurgence of Jedi, he finally knew where to look. Lucus called in a few favours and within a month found himself standing in front of the Praxeum ready to be trained.

Motivation

----- Ambition: Expertise -----

Lucus has always sought to be the best at what he does. He faced his first defining moment on Coruscant when he was captured and sentenced to prison. He vowed to never be bested again. In the underbelly of Oovo IV, he fought for survival with cunning and subterfuge. Upon his release, he honed his craft in the Outer Rim beneath Julius' guidance and then by himself. Now, he seeks to improve his control and power over the Force, an ability that has served him well in the past and that shall serve him well in the future.

Morality

Ambition | Greed - 50
Thrown as a collateral to pay for his father's debt, Lucus' childhood and teenage years were marked by a desire to prove himself to everyone. To show that he was worth something to anyone who would listen. While the feeling has lessened with time, he still has that fire within him. Lucus likes to think that he controls the beast within him; the starving animal that seeks the approval and recognition for its feats. One can only control such a beast by feeding it once in a while, yet a starving beast will gorge itself to the point of sickness at the first opportunity.

Dutybound: Bounty Hunter's Creed - 10
Lucus was inducted into the Bounty Hunter's Guild by Julius Psion, a firm believer of the Creed and so Lucus did the same. Currently training to become a Jedi Knight of the New Jedi Order, Lucus is still an active member of the Guild to this day.

Description

Standing at approximately 1.7m, Lucus is a middle-aged (36) human who grew up at the fringes of society, with dark brown eyes and light brown hair. His face bears the traces of his upbringing; a smattering of light scars can be seen under the right light, the result of brawls, tumbles and accidents. Yet, even the most observant would be hard pressed to describe him properly.

He has switched his previous working equipment to something lighter following his training at the New Jedi Order; a set of dark robes over simple dark clothes. Nothing fancy, nothing remarkable, but everything he needs to perform his self-appointed task.
