When the character is the target of a Coercion check, the character may suffer a number of strain to upgrade the difficulty of the check a number of times equal to the strain suffered. Plausible Deniability - 1 EoE 141 Remove one Setback Die per rank of Plausible Deniability from all Coercion and Deception checks the character makes.
Toughened - 2 EoE 145 Character gains 2 wounds for each rank of Toughened.
Prey on the Weak F&D 149 The character deals +1 damage to one hit on all successful combat checks against disoriented targets per rank of Prey on the Weak.

Background

Born on Mygeeto, Zej grew up relatively poor, the son to a crippled ex-pilot and his late wife. His childhood saw his father taking odd jobs, often being fired due to his disability. In a desperate plight to make a living, Zej, unskilled and uneducated, turned to a life of fighting for his pay.
As he came of age, duels began to go his way more and more often. Realizing he had some sort of talent for this, he dedicated himself to his craft, taking out loans to afford martial training and, more importantly, housing for him and his father. As his skill increased, so did the prize money, but it was not enough to satisfy his outstanding loans. He began to participate in rigged fights, though only those rigged in his favor. His fame grew, as did the bets.
After enough wins, the bets for him had grown exponentially. He was asked to participate in one last rigged match, but he would have to lose. Perhaps pride, haughtiness, or narcissism prevented Zej from throwing this last match. He bested his opponent despite the repercussions he knew would be coming.
As punishment, he was set to fight two men at once, to the death. In a display of luck, determination and skill, Zej was victorious. He's now on the run, not only from his debtors, but from the law as well.

Motivation

Friendship - Zej predominantly is tired of being alone. After being on the run for multiple years, he's ready to slow down and find at least a single friend, something he hasn't had in some time.

Injustice - Despite time having past since his accusations, he's still wanted on his home world and would like to prove that he was set up. The chances of success in this endeavor seem slim indeed.

Obligations

Fame - 10: Zej aspires to be a household name among duelists. Despite his relative success on Mygeeto, it has been ripped from him and he longs for the trappings of fame once more.

Criminal - 10: A dueling arrangement gone afoul, Zej found himself in a death match with the odds stacked against him. He was meant to die, but managed to win an unfair fight. Due to death matches being illegal, he's now wanted for murder.

Description

As many Mandalorians are, Zej is fairly tall and muscular. He's quite obviously seen his fair share of battles, though his scars seem to add to his handsomeness rather than take away from it. He has striking blue eyes, messy dark hair. He keeps a short beard at most times.
