Lance has spent the past several years scavenging, relic-hunting, procuring rare objects for those who can afford them. He possesses Doctorates in Archaeology, as well as Security Management, neither of which he actually earned. He did spend nearly a decade at the University of Bar'leth, until his unknowing benefactor's assets were frozen. Mostly for the young females. Apart from xenophysiology, he retains a random smattering of knowledge from his intermittent studies, and is good at finding the answers he doesn't have. His mother, investigative reporter Ani-Skel Deckard, has recently gone missing while on assignment at the Ring of Kafrene...
Treasures: Some hunt it for the glory. Some hunt it for the challenge. Whether it's a cache of precious gems stashed away long ago by decades-dead pirates or the incalculable worth of art and crafts from an eons-dead civilization, treasure hunters know there are immense riches out there in the galaxy just waiting for them to find where X marks the spot.
