Background
Q1. How did you discover your force sensitivity?
A1. Encountered a Jedi knight whilst seeking a lost Jedi holocron, who afterwards told Venn of his potential.
Q2. Describe a moment where you fell prey to your moral weakness or experienced a tragedy/horror that still haunts you.
A2. Obsessed with finding a lost Jedi holocron, slowly piecing together clues to its final place of rest.
Q3. How did you come to join the NJO?
A3. Offered a chance at learning more of the force by said Jedi Knight after they recovered the holocron.
Q4. Name one NPC your character has a strong connection with. This could be a family member, a friend, a work contact, or a bitter rival.
A4. A befriended dressellian smuggler named Jhax (who may well just have been hoping to make a large score off of that supposed friendship) who flew Venn to the planet on which the holocron was eventually found.
Venn speaks little of his life on Mustafar, where he was regarded with derision over his 'foolish fascination' over outsider technology that found the planet too unforgiving to be typically usable in such harsh environs. He grew tired of the scorn, eventually heading offworld to pursue his interest.
He spent many a day pouring through any records he could gain access to, learning what he could before then moving on, travelling far from his homeworld in his pursuit of knowledge. Then, one day, he came across a reference to a missing Jedi holocron which tied to other vague snippets he had previously picked up through his journeys.
Feeling drawn to this mystery somehow he began to focus on it, spending many a restless night delving through data. Eventually, after over a year of piecing together the various clues he uncovered, he came to an epiphany. Gathering what little remaining resources he could, he sought passage to a planet on the Outer Rim where his research indicated that the holocron was located. A small-time dressellian smuggler named Jhax that he had befriended on his travels was in a nearby system and agreed to help.
Fortunately the local sapient species was friendly and their oral traditions held further clues to the holocrons place of rest. It was with surprise he then found he was not alone in his pursuit of the ancient artefact - a Jedi Knight was also on its path.
The three (himself, Jhax and the Jedi) met under a somewhat guarded conversation at first in a village near the holocrons final resting place where the Jedi sensed Venn was force sensitive and sincere in his goal. Together, they recovered the artefact - a task that proved nontrivial but between them successful - and _______ offered to Venn tutelage in the ways of the Force and the Jedi Code.
The intrigued Venn accepted, bidding farewell to Jhax and returned with the Jedi Knight to the recently established monastery of the New Jedi Order.

Description
Venn has the typical tall and slender build of northern mustafarians, and apart from being a species rarely seen beyond their homeworld, is somewhat nondescript. His usual garb consists of a padded armour suit and kubazian skirt, again commonplace for his people to wear.
The breath mask he prefers to keep donned (hiding an unpleasant-looking burn injury suffered from a machine shop accident earlier in life back on Mustafar) gives his buzzing voice an extra resonance that can make his Basic somewhat hard to understand.
