All Elena Faylin had known was the Jedi order. She had longed to serve it to the best of her ability through her quest for justice against anyone who has been wronged. Early on she studied hard in order to become one of the greatest Jedi as most of the children her age did. As she grew older she simply wanted to become the best that she could in order to help serve others and follow the Jedi Code.
After she became an apprentice she continued to be just as studious taking everything her master told her to heart as she admired him greatly. However, towards the end of her apprenticeship, the belief in the Jedi order began to fade. They never seemed to be able to actually help. Rules and the Jedi code kept them from doing what would truly help. Elena found herself arguing with her master more and more about their role in their missions. Despite this, she soon passed her trials and became a full Jedi Knight.
Soon after the clone wars began, Elena traveled to a planet that she had previously been to during her apprentice years. It was one of the few missions she felt they had accomplished what they had set out to do which was put the current leader into power. However, after arriving again, she found that their actions were what had allowed the Separatists to take over the planet.
Elena then decided to leave the order. She found life outside the order harder than she expected. Decisions were made that she never thought she would do which has led her to taking any job she can for payment.
