Edad grew up on Duro and lived what could be considered a fairly normal life. That is until the day he found a strange object while "adventuring" in the wilderness near is home. The small trinket has dominated his life since that day. It inspired him to go to university and study archaeology in an attempt to learn anything he could to help him identify what his treasure might be. After graduating at the top of his class, but still never learning anything about the origin of his talisman, he began to grow despondent. He joined on with a smuggler to see more of the galaxy and learn from his travels. His hope was he could become somewhat self sufficient and spend more time researching at various institutions around the galaxy. Now in his early 30's, and still never having had any clue about his treasure, he has become desperate. However, he feels as if it is constantly "calling" to him to unlock some secret power hidden inside. The object has become an obsession for Edad, and he will take any risk he feels necessary to help him find where it may have come from and the people who made it. That includes this new opportunity to venture into Hutt space. Dealing with some shady characters in a nearly lawless area of the galaxy is not necessarily what Edad had in mind, but Hutt space may hold the key to unlocking his secrect.

Edad's lone motivation in life is to learn as much as possible about the ancient civilizations of the galaxy and he will do whatever he thinks is necessary to do it.
