Background
Goron grew up on a fueling station in the Outer Rim as one of many children. His parents were largely pacifistic and kept their heads down, just doing their work to pay for the family. Goron hung around with a bad crowd and made trouble for himself aboard the station: fighting, stealing, racing, and generally being a useless punk with no real prospects but warehouse work and a jail cell.
During a chance encounter in the cargo bays, Goron managed to warn a Corellian Human and took out a hidden assassin who would have killed the human. That man turned out to be Harolt Cordissian, the leader of a mercenary group known as the Stone Eaters, and perhaps on a whim, Harolt offered Goron a chance to join up and learn the mercenary trade.
They traveled together for several years, and Goron learnt well the dangers and riches of protection work, as well as the camaraderie of brothers and sisters-in-arms. A particularly bad contract resulted in several of the company losing their lives, and Goron heavily criticized Harolt for his poor planning and inability to protect the company. The ensuing fight between them split the company entirely, with most of the remaining mercenaries going their separate ways.
Goron presently is just trying to make a living as a bit of muscle/protection wherever he can.
Motivation
CONFLICT: Blood Money - Violence and the use of Force to get what he wants is all Goron knows, and he sees it as a profession in a highly competitive field. This bloody work is a fine job, but it is a terrible hobby.
