Background

1) On a particularly spectacular night, as Dawn neared, both the moon and the sun came into the sky in warming luminescence. Veshani had been looking to the island dotted sea, and his eyes drooped halfway. He felt the Ebbing and Flowing of the Waters, as the entirety of the Cosmic Sea flooded into him. Hours passed, the sun replaced the moon in the sky, when he felt a hand on his shoulder- Veshani glanced over and see Raw Khepe, his community's Sage, with tears of joy streaming down his face.

2) A dispute volcanically erupted with his community and the remaining desperate Imperials. His Father and Godfather decided to retaliate instead of being enslaved, while Veshani pleaded that they not chance death in battle. His last words spoken to them were of drained sorrow: that they should not go if they wished to return; they died in the ensuing battle, freeing those enslaved and beating back Imperial forces for good.

3) As New Republic forces fought the remnants of these Imperials, they made a hyperspace jump to their allies on Sembla. Eventually, the New Republic forces caught up with them, and aided in liberating Sembla. Among their ranks was a Jedi- one who was allured to an island chain and sought out Veshani. In short order, Veshani vowed himself to the Jedi and left to rebuild the ancient Order.

4) In his youth, the community leader Raw Khepe, a Prophetic Sage of sorts, kept reiterating to him that the Waters of Life coursed within him, and would hint at his specialty- often asking Veshani to join up with his cause to bring people closer to one another as it would be a wellspring of splendor. Over time, his spent energies to benefit the community and volunteer became more concerted and involved with Khepe. This lead to long nights of debate, mythic tales, and meditation.

[5] Two communes on Sembla were disputing over Destiny. As they argued over futility and fate, Veshani made it a point to see that Destiny is for those who are incapable of creating their own fortune. This upset both groups, but also helped them realize that there is something malleable in Destiny- and that they have access to it.

Motivation

Community- it is important beyond any measure that communities thrive and rejoice in wellbeing. Veshani takes it upon himself to arbitrate underlying conflicts that threaten the fabrics holding these communities together, and wishes to help weave them stronger. Inclusivity is the lifeblood of a strong community, and Veshani knows that this is the most important thing needed in this broken galaxy.

Helping the Jedi Order Recover- This may involve searching for mysterious relics of the mythic past, be it through exploration, bartering, or meditation upon the Force itself. To make the New Order stronger, it must be inclusive of different force using traditions- and to discover and learn from these ways may help bring solidarity to the newfound Jedi that will ensure they cannot be wiped out again.

Morality

Cleverness
Veshani has had it instilled in him that he is unique among his people, gifted in a way few are. Having this imposed upon him has made him think in unorthodox manners, seeing as these differences are what made him excel and stand out. This originality is refreshing and often successful to situations that seem painfully stagnant.

Sorrow
Because of his ignorance shattering upon his mild enlightenment, and with the oncoming of the divided Imperials ruthlessly scavenging and conquering, his heart aches for the wellbeing of his people and of the galaxy at large. It makes Veshani feel incapable, isolate, and it debilitates him so much that he can become paralyzed, or worse, become disconnected from the Force.

Description

Veshani is a 2.1 meter, primordial-esque reptilian male. He is of tall stature due to his long legs, torso, and head-crest, and traveled muscle wraps tightly around his body. His scale-covered skin is a complexity of dark green-blues, with miniscule streaks of light green and black. His eyes are bulbous and are shattered yellow-brown, with vertical pupils. He wears heavy layered robes so that he may stay warm, and it allows for design in the layered aesthetic, with small hints of bright colors in the folds.

The Stricture of Violence essentially says: "Do not Kill, fore it Quenches one's ability to voice and seek understanding." The recent Galactic wars have challenged this for any Vurk who left Sembla. Are there conditions in which killing is acceptable? Is it ever necessary? May one need to Destroy life to Free life? Is life ever truly destroyed?
Potential NJO Duty:
Philosophy – the New Jedi Order is a loose amalgam of a variety of Force traditions and teachings, mashed together by Master Skywalker to allow his new Knights to follow the Force as they see fit – but there is always more to be learned or discovered about the will of the Force, the nature of the Force, and the way the Jedi fit into all these things. This PC is dedicated to the notion that the guiding philosophy of the New Jedi Order is incomplete and must be perfected to guard against the fallacies and failings of the old Jedi – to prevent the calamity that befell the Order, and the galaxy, just four decades ago.
