Background
Created in the Cloning Vats on Kamino 32 BBY RC-5950 was a Jango Fett Clone, selected at a young age for Officer Training it was his excellence in the many exams and tests the Kaminoans gave him that upgraded him to the Commando Program.Training Alongside the Brothers that would one day become his charge, RC-5950 would become adept at Leading.
RC-5950 would be trained by Jango Fett and the Mandalorian trainers that he brough to Kamino, in turn inheriting the Bounty Hunter/Mandalorian's famed Ruthlessness, He learnt that the End can justify most any means, getting results is what mattered.
Due to his role as Squad Leader of the Commando Unit he was assigned to he would eventually be given the name Skipper, a play on the Naval term for captain.

First, without the presence of a Tactical Droid or General, Separatist Battle Droids are very ineffective at winning battles against Clone Troopers let alone a squad of Republic Commandos. Taking out the head of a Battle is always a priority, as many times it can make missions go a lot smoother.
Second and equally important, No Soldier is left behind, Republic Commandos can do a lot more if they live to fight another day than simply dying for a lost cause. Skipper's _________ Squad are his Brothers and their lives are more important than the mission should it come between a choice of failing a goal and saving a Brother, Skipper does not hesitate to save fallen comrades.
