This Modernized V-19 Torrent Starfighter has been improved in many ways beyond its additional mono-directional deflector shield. Its QY77 Avionics suite has been updated to a custom F-s5.2x system, a custom suite based on the Tie Avenger's flight computer and designed by the owner to integrate tightly with the V-19's airframe. Its thrusters have also been replaced with the more powerful and more compact vectoring engines utilized in the RZ-1 Interceptor. While this has taken away the familiar "scream" that went on into later generations of Republic starfighters, it has majorly improved the starfighter's handling, acceleration and overall responsiveness.

Additionally, the wing-mounted main armaments have been replaced with more durable systems based on the efficient L-s7.2 laser cannon and integrated with a firmware nearly identical to the TIE/D's fire control computer.

Its main computer has been replaced with an integrated droidbrain processor, giving it a much deeper reserve of computing power as well as millisecond reaction time, with the sole caveat of having to deal with an onboard droid personality.

It is also painted in a menacing coat of black paint with a single indigo stripe.
