Background

Jo (J.J.) Oolts was the local sheriff of a colonial outpost on stoga. Not much trouble from the locals, a veritable wasteland Mayberry. Except when slavers or other trouble came in from the stars. However he came to develop a reputation as the quickest hand in the West(ern far outer rim). However it quickly fell apart.

A scout from a big imperial megaconglomerate started nosing around, investigating the possibilities of mineral deposits. Tricking many of the locals to sign their homesteads away. Oolts investigated, he was silenced. It wasn't a hard case to make to fire him. He had been seen babbling, talking nonsense and speaking of visions. Periodic episodes witnessed by various townsfolk. He was branded crazy, and pushed to the margins. Years past as he lived on the fringes.

An old retired Gand Findsmen too him in. Showed him the ways of the Findsmen, even though Jo rarely listened, pretending to solve the problem preventing the episodes by drowning them in alcohol.

Motivation

He had has always stood up for the little guy, justice and all that jizz, one of the lonely and only honest lawmen. He still has that passionate call to justice deep inside.

He recently came across a rumor, that if true could blow the whole scouts plans apart.

Obligations

Disgraced 5- Branded as crazy, justified as an alcoholic, now looked at as a fool, he has pushed to the fringes, on an already fringe colony.

A score to settle 5- Recovering his 2 woshyr wood handled nova viper pistols "the kids" now in the hands of a town thug, seeing a dead or jailed scout, and a reckoning with the town's mayor who JJ is pretty sure is in cahoots with the megaconglomerate... If he ever gets sober long enough, the town is in for a show.
