Dae’us Tera was a Miraluka Jedi padawan during the Clone Wars, born on the adopted Miralukan homeworld of Alpheridies. Though the Tera clan had a strong history with the Jedi Order ever since they first encountered one another in the High Republic era, he was the first in his clan to join the Order since the Doonium Wars of the Ghost Nebula, many generations prior.

Dae’us served as a padawan learner to Khil Jedi Knight Hund Frenar. Near the end of the Clone Wars, they were fighting a guerrila campaign in the mountains of the Separatist controlled world of Esseles, with a Clone company that had dwindled to only a handful of individuals. Their small numbers gave the Jedi the advantage during the purge, and having survived, they returned to Coruscant, tempted by the false message of peace.

They arrived just as Master Kenobi had changed the message to a warning for survivors, but it was too late, and their ship was shot out of the sky. In the chaos that ensued, Dae’us became separated from Frenar, and took hold of his lightsaber, his own having been destroyed.

Down in the undercity, he met entrepreneurial pilot Rhemmy Maddix. Seeing the Zabrak as his opportunity for a new life, he agreed to help with some of his more illegal enterprises in exchange for passage off world. Thus began a friendship and partnership that led Dae’us on a series of misadventures culminating with their arrival on Delos VII, with his master’s lightsaber badly damaged, and a bounty on his head.
